While everyone you know might be heading north to chill out somewhere this summer, here’s an opportunity to go in the opposite direction and still be able to brag about it. 
Between May and mid-November of this year, one of North America’s most famous historic hotels, The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, is wrapping up lots of extras in their room rates which are as little as $269 a night this time of year.
While there are exceptions (some of the “extras” are only offered free during the week or certain days), in general, there are some serious savings to be found.
For example, you and your spouse can play unlimited tennis while your kids (ages 3-12) have the time of their lives in the resort’s Coconut Crew Interactive Camp. Normally, half-day camp sessions run $52 per child (full day, $76). The camp includes swimming, all sorts of sports, nature walks, arts and crafts and games as well as lunch.
Speaking of lunch...at The Breakers, you don’t have to worry about spending double digits for a bowl of pasta your child may decide to make a Miro painting out of. Monday through Thursday during these months,  all children's meals (again, age 12 and under) are free. And for adults, continental breakfast is included during the week, which is a savings of $18 per person.
Other savings include reduced greens fees for golfers, free spa and fitness center admission, unlimited fitness classes, free overnight valet parking (weekends, it’s $20 per night), and unlimited WiFi access in your room.
So while your friends might be up at the lake, you can be dividing your time between spa treatments and tennis, lounging in the breeze under palm trees by the pool and having one memorable meal after another, whether it's brick-oven pizza or pasta in the Italian Restaurant, Cajun-spiced Mahi-Mahi in the Ocean Grill overlooking the Atlantic or the tasting menu at the resort's signature restaurant, L'Escalier.
