While you may thrive on the 24/7 energy of Manhattan, it’s nice to have a serene place to escape to when visiting. The city’s only Japanese-owned hotel, The Kitano, makes this MORE than possible. Not only is the midtown Park Avenue hotel a reprieve in itself (with double-pane windows, you can’t hear a trace of city noise) but it has partnered with Shizuka New York, a Japanese medical day spa, to provide guests with soothing treatments in a relaxing Zen atmosphere.
The Spa-a-la-Carte packages include deluxe accommodations at the best available rate, breakfast in the hotel’s Garden Café, a pass to the New York Sports Club and a late check out. Guests choose either the Shizuka Signature Spa Package ($265) which includes a facial, massage and private sauna use or the Deluxe Signature Spa Package ($330) which features a facial, massage, private sauna use, Reflexology, and a manicure and pedicure. The rates are in addition to hotel room rates which start at $199.
Between the Asian hospitality of the hotel, the Eastern holistic treatments of the spa and the unfailingly good Japanese cuisine in the hotel’s Michelin-rated Hakubai, you’ll be set to take on New York City.
